Dates for SHIFT meetings until July 2012 are now added to the ‘future dates’ page.  Please nots that ALL meetings in January, February & March are on Thursdays, this is due to the availabililty of the room.  After Easter the normal pattern of Thursday & Friday meetings resumes.

Speakers will be added as they are booked.

On Friday 2nd December we meet for coffee & chat anytime between 9.00 & 11.00

Our meeting on Fridat Nov 4th is for coffee & chat & a chance to catch up after the half term break.

Also on friday will be the opportunity to sign up to come out for an evening meal on Friday Nov 11th.

Toni Bremble from Oxfordshire County Council is visiting our meeting on Friday September 30th to listen to feedback on services.

Dates for the Autumn tem are now on the ‘future dates’ page.  Our first meeting is on Thursday 15th September when we will meet for coffee, cake & chat.  A chance to chat about the highs & lows of the summer holiday & the beginning of the new school year.

We meet on Friday 8th July for coffee & chat.  This is our last meeting of this term and we will be sorting dates, both evenings & daytime, to meet up in the summer holidays.  Dates for the Autumn term should also be available.

Having had several different speakers recently we meet on Friday for coffee & chat – a chance to catch up with each other & talk about how things are going

At our SHIFT meeting on May 13th we have a visit from Toni Bremble from Oxfordshire County Council.  Toni has asked to come to SHIFT to get our views & feedback on a new website giving information to parents of children & young people with disabilities.

The next SHIFT meeting is on Thursday 28th April when we will be visited by Rachael Cooper fromAutism Support.  Rachael is going to talk about social skills & friendships & is then willing to answer questions.

North Abingdon Children’s Centre are putting on a new session called ‘High 5′.  This session is for families with children with a child with special needs aged between 0 & 19.  The sessions will run from 12.30 – 3.00 on Mondays & Fridays in the school holidays (except bank holidays)

The session is for the whole family with use of the family room, garden & sensory garden.  The sensory room is also available and needs t0 be prebooked by individual families through the children’s centre.

The session if free with £1 per family donation asked for drinks.
